The Health Office will work with you prior to any scheduled field trips. We are to be notified two weeks prior to any scheduled field trip and will then meet with you to review any potential health issues that may arise off campus as well as providing any required training.

Immunization Recommendations for Adults
Flu Vaccine
The Arizona Department of Health Services, in accordance with CDC guidelines, recommends that everyone from age 6 months throughout the life span get an annual flu shot. Influenza is a viral respiratory disease spread by droplets. It is more than a bad cold; more people die from influenza and it's complications than any other vaccine preventable disease. By the way, you can't get the flu as a side effect of the vaccine. Get your flu vaccine early in the fall, prior to reports of local cases and you should avoid the double whammy of getting your shot only to get the flu a couple of days later.
Tetanus and Pertussis Vaccines
Every adult should get one dose of Tdap. This vaccine acts as a tetanus and pertussis (whooping cough) booster. There have been local outbreaks of whooping cough the last several years and this vaccine will help protect you. This shot is also recommended for women during each pregnancy. After receiving the Tdap vaccine, adults should get a tetanus booster (Td) every 10 years to prevent tetanus. If you sustain a particularly dirty cut, your doctor may choose to give you a tetanus booster if has been 5 years since your last tetanus shot.
